Hello my name is Dakota Hyatt and I am the new Robles Junction Royalty Queen. I am so grateful and honored to represent this organization with the rest of my amazing court. I decided to represent being the RJEE Queen because I enjoy working with others and supporting my community. Here’s a little about me. I am sixteen and an Arizona native. I attend highschool and am hoping to further my education at Pima. I have a love of horses, nature and one day plan on traveling to Montana to see Yellowstone Park. Some achievements of mine outside of RJEE are my education awards such as, President Education Awards and honor roll awards, FFA Green Hand Degree. My amazing horse is named Miss Lilly. She is a Percheron/Quarter Horse Paint. Normally, she is a big goof, but she loves her job carrying the flag, a job she takes seriously. I look forward to an amazing year ahead, and I hope to get to know all of you.
My name is Gracelyn Seay, I am the current Princess with Robles Junction Equine Events Royalty. I am fairly new to the horse world and just started riding about 3 years ago. I am so thankful for every opportunity I have where I can be on a horse. I have recently gotten to be more on the training side and love watching a horse be successful with something new. I love animals and hope to be an exotic animal vet when I’m older. I am 13, in eight grade and homeschooled. Homeschool gives me the flexibility to spend more time doing/trying things I love (like glass blowing!) and get ahead in my education on my own schedule. Outside of horses, I do swim team, guitar, and odd jobs to pay my own entry fees into rodeo/gymkhana events. I hope to inspire people to be kind, do what you love, and work hard.
Hello, my name is Shelby Smotherman, I am 9 years old and I am the 2023-2024 Junior Princess for RJEE. I chose this role because I want to learn more about the community and to be a role model to other kids who think they can’t do it. When I first thought about trying to become the Jr princess for RJEE I was not sure I could do it. I am so glad I did! I proved to myself that I could do it, and I hope others can too.
This is my 2nd year in Marana Stockman 4-H. This year I will be raising/showing swine and participating in the Horse project. One thing I really like about 4-H is the community service part. Last year I did two community services making produce boxes for people who didn’t have enough food.
Being at home is my favorite place to be. I love to spend time in my room and draw. Friends come over often and we do a lot of things like swimming, jumping on the trampoline, painting, etc. My family time is very important to me. I like watching movies and cuddling up with my favorite blanket, playing games, riding quads and lots more.
I can’t wait for my year as RJEE Jr Princess. I want RJEE to be proud of me and make them feel like they made the right choice. I am excited for what will come in the future and to see how far I will go!
Shelby Smotherman, RJEE Jr Princess
My name is Journee Leslie, I am five years old and I was crowned Little Miss of Robles Junction Equine Events for the 2023-2024 season. This is the first year that this riding association has had a royalty program and I am so excited to be a huge part of it. I have been riding horses since I was born (so my mom says). I participate in any and all events that I am capable of doing. My goal this year is to represent my riding club and help others and myself to become the best cowgirls and cowboys possible.
I am a Kindergartener and I really enjoy school. Besides rodeo I am involved in trick riding, boxing and dance. I love going to the dunes with my dad and riding quads with my big brother. I love going to the lake in the summer time and I enjoy just being outside. I am also awesome at cooking and singing the National Anthem.
Warm regards,
Journee Leslie
Little Miss RJEE
Hello, my name is Amani Fermon. My position with RJEE Royalty is Wrangler.
I am in 7th grade and attending middle school. I chose this role to represent my community and to help encourage other kids to be involved along with setting a positive example for RJEE youth members. As a Wrangler with RJEE, I have taken on the responsibilities of setting up the arena, helping at the entry gate, and running any errands for the registration table and concession stand. I am new in the saddle, but have been around horses and livestock most of my life. I really love to play sports like basketball and football. Family is something I value most. My favorite thing to do when we are together is dance and laugh about old memories. I am the oldest and only boy out of my sisters and cousins. I enjoy wings, steak, and a good cheese burger (with PICKLES!) Red and yellow are my favorite colors (Go Chiefs!). Outside of Royalty and Gymkhana, I work hard at maintaining straight A’s, student council and sports for my school. My favorite subject in school is Math. I also have an interest in building bicycles, fishing and solving Rubix cubes!
Hello, My name is Dallas Harmon. I am 6 years old and in the first grade. I just won the Junior Wrangler title and my first belt buckle in September 2023 at the Robles Junction Equine Event. I entered the event because I wanted the riding experience and I like to compete.
I have been a member of the So. Az. Youth for veterans for 2 years. We love working and doing for our Veterans, whom we feel do not get enough honor and respect. My first love is riding horses because I feel so free and in charge when I'm on one. My second love is just hanging out and having fun with my friends.
My name is Jimmy Seay, but I go by Cade. I am a Jr Wrangler with Robles Junction. I just turned 8 years old. I have a guinea pig named baby Flower. I like hunting, fishing, and riding my quad. I used to mutton bust, and just moved up to calf riding over the summer. I started riding horses a few months ago when I saw how much fun my sisters had. My horses name is Soldier, but I like riding Jodie too. I want to be a police officer. My favorite field trip we went on was the Grand Canyon and I went on a glass bridge. I just started learning piano and like it. I did 15 pull ups at a marine corp booth at a rodeo one time and got a bumper sticker.
